That cold shoulder isolation was formally maintained at the resort, too, until we set sail the next morning on our rented catamaran, skippered by Tatsuhiko and Indira. The cat was far from being one of the luxury craft the resort normally rented to its guests. It was old, scruffy as if it hadn't been painted in ages, but it had the advantage of being useful in shallow waters and being light enough to be pulled up onto the shore for wilderness camping on the islands.
